  • Ronald Shaer is Key Speaker at Memorial

    On Saturday, November 15th, a memorial service will be held for Luther Gales, a longtime customer of the Cotton Club.  Mr. Gales was the director of a senior citizens women's swimming group in Harlem called the Honey Bears.  In addition, Mr. Gales was an active swing dancer known throughout all of Manhattan.  There have been many videos of Mr. Gales dancing on national television. The service will be conducted by Broadwaybluesbuffet Master of Ceremonies Ronald Shaer.  The service will be held at the Alhambra Ballroom.  Mr. Gales is survived by his dedicated wife of 40 years and 2 daughters.
